We are always looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals to join our team. Candidates with the following backgrounds are strongly preferred:

  • PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related fields, as well as one of

  • Experience in electro/photochemistry, including but not restricted to:

    • Electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR)

    • Hydrogen evolution reaction (HER)

    • Electro/photocatalytic transformation of small molecules

    • Biomass valorization.to useful commodities

    • Development of new electro/photocatalyst materials and characterization

    • Fundamental investigations through operando spectroscopy, i.e., Raman or X-ray absorption spectroscopies

    • Device engineering and optimization

Interested candidates should email Dr. Leow (wanru.leow@ntu.edu.sg) with your CV (including a publication list), a brief research summary, and contact information of two references.

Graduate Students

We have multiple openings for PhD students at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). We welcome students with strong interest in sustainable catalysis and chemical transformations to apply. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science or related fields. Interested prospective graduate students should directly contact Dr. Leow (wanru.leow@ntu.edu.sg) with up-to-date CV and transcripts.

We highly recommend prospective candidates to consider the following scholarships:

1.    Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) [Link]

2.    A*STAR Graduate Scholarship [Link]

3.    NTU Research Scholarship [Link]

4.    Nanyang President's Graduate Scholarship [Link]

Undergraduate Students

We welcome highly motivated undergraduate students to join our lab. Personally, I began my research journey by exploring various laboratories during my undergraduate studies. If you are interested in hands-on research experience in sustainable catalysis and chemical transformations, feel free to contact Dr. Leow at wanru.leow@ntu.edu.sg.

Visiting Students and Researchers

We are happy to host visiting students and researchers with relevant research backgrounds. If you are interested, please send your cv, transcript, and two referee contacts to Dr. Leow (wanru.leow@ntu.edu.sg).
